Additionally, many biblical historians and theologians (Robert Kysar, John E. Stambaugh, David L. Balch, to name a few) find nothing anti-semetic with the Author's use of the term "the Jews" in John.<br /><br />I suppose the best way to differentiate the Jews from, what would be an equally troubling misnomer "Christians," in John in such a way as to not offend those of the Jewish faith today - would be to say Pharisaic Jews (those who were followers of the Pharisees in the Synagogue)and Johannine Jews (Jews who believed Jesus was the prophesied Messiah - which is not to be taken as being necessarily a Messianic Jew.) <br /><br />"We are, after all, what we eat." Well placed pun. I guess that is why we call it Amazing Grace!
