Your wise words remind me of one of my favorite lines from Bonhoeffer's Letters and Papers from Prison: "It is only when one submits to God's law that one may speak of grace." So today I am sitting going through resources that I typically use. And I come across this article, very well written and confirmation of what had been going through my head this week in relation to the passage I had chosen to use(Luke 13:1-9).The opening remarks which included the quote from Brueggemann, especially caught my attention. “We must always hold before our people God’s commands to obedience. Always. But we must also always be patient with one another as we fail to heed those commands. Always.”
This passage of scripture reflects plainly and simply that quote.
I guess what am trying to say is very simply; thanks.gary lynchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09598180494966581929noreply@blogger.com
